Weddings are festive occasions at any time of the year, a winter wedding adds a special magical element. From the bridal accessories like shrugs, warm furry jackets or capes, to icy sparkles of jewellery and tables accented with honey jars with wishes of a new spring for all. Kasia and Erik exchanged vows at St. Stanislaus Church, an ornate and colourful Roman Catholic Church. As a child I’d stare at the frescos and wonder how I could peel off just a little bit of the gold leaf from the ceiling!
Fun family oriented couple, they had what I thought was a touching addition to their welcome table; squares of material and a request for guests to add a note of wisdom for the newly married couple. These pieces are going to be used in the creation of a family quilt, I hope to see it soon!
I leave this post with a message that was added to their engagement book:
Life has taught us that Love does not consiste of gazing at each other, but in looking together in the same direction.
– Antoine de Saint-Exupery
